Question

characters in private use area

Hi all, we're using a Unicode font for display on screen. Some special characters are placed in the private use area, which is correctly defined for this font. Unfortunately Arbortext Editor doesn't show the glyphs on the screen but only little boxes. Can anyone help? Best regards, Ulrike.

Try looking at "How character sets are supported" and related topics in the help. You can type "help 13019" at the Editor command line in at least Editor 5.3 or 5.4 to jump right to this topic. -Brandon

I can't see how this can help me, since we're not using character entities but Unicode. All characters are shown correctly on screen but the characters from the Private Use Area. Am I missing something? Best regards, Ulrike.

    Hello!

A new/similar discussion will be started. Maybe we'll get some answers.

Sorry that you didn't get a satisfactory answer.
