Question

Clipping Mask for eps files

Hello: We are new to Arbortext and I'm wondering if it can recognize a clipping mask within an eps file. Example: If I have standards that say a graphic is restricted to a particular size and the author uses a clipping mask within illustrator to generate a portion of a larger picture, does Arbortext recognize that and only show the clip itself?

    Hi Tim,

I'm pretty sure this should "just work" - easiest way is to test it J Use
one of the out-of-the-box samples from the New Document dialog, then insert
the EPS graphic and print to PDF via PE or Styler.

One thing to note - I'm also pretty sure that if you require text runaround
of a clipping path (eg. non-square wrapping of text around an EPS graphic)
then you would need to be using the APP print engine (which is the default
    in Arbortext 6.0 anyway).
