compare memory (diffmemory): how does it relate to RAM, virtual memory?
Hi,
I have 2GB physical RAM. I had 2048 MB virtual memory. I was able to set
diffmemory to 5000. I doubled my virtual memory to 4096. If I got anything
out of this change, it is only incremental ... I have just run at
diffmemory=5200. (diffmemory=5200 might have worked before my change, I'm
not sure if I tried it). I can't run diffmemory=5500 now and couldn't
before, either.
I expected at least a + 2000 capability in diffmemory after making the
change.
