Delete a selection of sections without delete_mark command

Currently I'm working in a feature for Arbortext however I haven'd had luck with the commands, what I'm tryinto to do is: once the user selected one or many sections from a document (docbook) I would like to remove that content, modify it and then insert it again already changed, I was using <section></section>
