FODM and Arbortext

Hello,

Some Aerospace companies are asking how to benefit Arbortext Products with Airbus FODM system.

Does anybody know how to use, communicate and connect Arbortext Products with Airbus FODM system? Anybody work on this kind of project?

Any answer will be appreciated.

We helped a customer with this a few years ago for an Airbus A319 maintenance project.

Back then it was simply a matter of installing the correct version of Arbortext and then loading the FODM plugin which is supplied by Airbus. You can use FODM as normal then double-click DUs etc. to launch Arbortext Editor. From memory you can also simply enable/disable the use of Arbortext within the FODM preferences. This is well worth doing; the Arbortext Editor is much, much better than the built-in FODM editor!
