For xref links "ditamap" is not supported

I have a xref link which points to a ditamap. Arbortext Editor doesn't support and throws an error. Is this expected one.

Could you please help me on this.

No, processing does not support the cross reference to a DITA map.

To solve your issue, could you use a relationship table or related-links?
