FOSI how keeps tag works

If someone has already used the tag keeps can I get an explanation of how it works?

I used :

....

No difference in result

I want split line anywhere

    Try setting softkeepspage="1". Second, search for help on the setting deepcontentsplitting which can also affect how rows are broken. Third, you can read more about <keeps> by searching help keeps or typing:

    help 348

    on the command line (which you may need to turn on ... choose Tools > Preferences and check the Command Line checkbox).

    Finally, your best bet, if you haven't solved this or moved on already, is to join the Adepters mailing list where lots and lots of Arbortext users, admins, and developers hang out 24/7/365.
