ISODRAW License request fialed for feature ISODRAW.

Our organization uses both ISODraw V7.2 and Arbortext Editor V6.0. Recently, last Tuesday, all of our ISODraw users reported a failure at execution: A "Caution" error is generated with the text "License request failed for feature ISODRAW." Arbortext Editor V6.0 does not fail to execute.

Both ISODraw and Arbortext both use the same license file. There is a key for each of the products in the file. The network card is active. It seems that ISODraw V7.2 requires the network card to be active and Arbortext V6.0 does not.

We are currently at a work stoppage do to the inability to use the ISODraw software.We had the software removed and reinstalled. ISODraw persistently fails to start. All recommendations would be appreciated.

Do your users use laptops and docking stations? We found out here that when you use a docking station it disables the mac address on the lap top and uses the docking station one instead.

Arbortext Editor is available as either node locked or floating. Isodraw is node locked to your machine, check your system variable under system properties make sure the license variable is PTC_D_License_File and that the value is leading to the license file saved locally and that if a floating license is used for editor that is also has the network path in it.

Our users are directly connected to the network using a node locked license. The user variable PTC_D_License_File is set to the location of the license file. We believe the license file is valid as it holds both an ISODraw 7.2 key and an Arbortext V6 key. Arbortext V6 M020 has no issue obtaining the key.

The issue seems to stem from traffic initiated by ISODraw back to PTC. If anyone can offer advice in this area, it would be greatly appreciated.
