open_connect() crashes Arbortext

Version: 8.2.1.0

I also have installed version 8.1.2.1 in another directory.

Opening PTC Arbortext with a client, there is an issue while calling open_connect() which crashes the app leaving me with an error window:

editor.exe: Unexpected error: Invalid C -runtime parameter.

There is an issue in the 8.2.0.0 to 8.2.2.0 release, where using open_connect function.

The error seen is "editor.exe: Unexpected error: Invalid C-runtime parameter."

This is currently scheduled to be corrected in the 8.2.3.0 release.

Have you tried a clean install of Arbortext on another machine with a very basic open_connect() string run from the command prompt? If you can reproduce the error in the "out of the box" Arbortext then you will need to create a PTC support issue.
