PDMLink Question

We are currenlty working on getting setup in PDMLink (9.1) with arbortext editor (5.4)contentand have come accross a question.

The question is releated to state changes.

Currenlty it dosen't appear that a state change will generate a new rendition. Is there a way to make a state change trigger a new rendition. We are comming from Documentum and we used to use a state change to remove watermarks.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi Brian,

You probably want to direct this query at a Windchill mailing list/forum.
You could start with the PTC forums?

The answer to your question is "yes" you can make lifecycle state changes
trigger a rendition but I believe that would be done as part of a workflow
(with the workflow changing the state at the same time it does the
rendition). BTW renditions are called "visualizations" in Windchill and you
will need to have a WVS (Windchill Visualization Services) Worker setup to
call PE and do the publishing.
