Question

Port used by Arbortext?

I know this is a bit of a goofy question, but does anyone know what port
number is in use when Arbortext reads or writes files from a regular
(non-HTTP/WebDAV) file system?

Trying some exception testing with Riverbed, and the admin asked me
which specific port is being used when Arbortext does read/write
operations.

Thanks,

    Hi Jason--

I'm not sure, but if you're on a Windows network using standard network
access, it's probably 445, which is the standard port for Windows SMB
    network communications.

If you're using NetBIOS, you might also need 137, 138, and 139.

Ah, 137, 138, and 139, a fine trio of rapscallions. Reminds me of
ShieldsUp!! New laptop. Not running ZoneAlarm. Just set up a house to house
offsite backup for my parents. I'm going to go get a port scan 😉
