smasteps not numbering correctly in custom sidebyside

We have a customised side by side that is based on the Technical Information Application. We have the ability to add multiple procbodies. This allows us to use a page wide image with a two column table below it. The issue we are having is that If we use numbered steps in the first procbody, the numbering will not continue in the second procbody. If we have two procbodies that have the two column table in them, the number will contine. Where do I need to look to fix my issue?
