Stack overflows in 5.4 M030

A customer of mine is trying to author his document in 5.4 M030 but constantly getting Stack overflow exception errors.
Not sure why this is happening but tends to be when manipulating tables.

This does not happen in 5.3 M170.

Has anyone else had this problem ?
