You (yes, YOU) should present at PTC Live Global

What are the plans, if any, for Arbortext technical presentations by PTC,
partners, and customers? Last year there were none and the Service
conference where the only Arbortext material was presented, was not
technical.

I think I offered this last year too, but no one turned up. Whoever can make it down to Queensland, Australia we’ll have a big old Arbortext BBQ at my place 🙂

I would be more likely to spend my own money and go there. My company, a US defense contractor, can hardly give me approval to attend conferences in Canada. I wonder what the cost is for airline tickets to Australia?

    Ed,

I priced premium economy for me from Newport News (PHF) to Brisbane. Around
$3,500 round trip. That was for an eight day trip in Feb 2014.

For a flight that long (between 24 and 32 hours), I'd not go the less
expensive 'cattle car' for under $2,000.

Now if you want to splurge, business class is ~$7,500 and first class
    $8,500.

Now Williamsburg, VA might be a more reasonable alternative. They have lots
of places to meet, fairly good food, and entertainment when not tied up in
    the conference.

You're all more than welcome to come to TC Camp and try to hijack as many
sessions as you can get votes for. That's the thing about an unconference
-- it takes critical mass. Sessions are nominated and voted on by the
attendees. Those sessions with enough votes get scheduled into the matrix.
    Those that don't, don't.
