Hi Folks, I am currently struggling with creating an offset CSYS.When I select the CSYS icon, the window opens up, but the "Offset Type" selections are greyed out and un-obtainable. Basically the drop down window that shows "Cartesian" and the three boxes below it (X)(Y)(Z) that are set to zero are all greyed out.Can someone tell me where I am going wrong, or what I need to select or set to have these options available.Much Thanks:Mark

I am a new user pro_E wildfire3.0. Is it possible to open models created using wildfire3.0 with wildire 2.0? If sol how kindly guide me

WF3 M060When I am generating or outputting CL data WF3 always grabs the windowfocus from any (even non PTC) window. When generating many tool pathsit gets very annoying having to click on the same window over and overagain as ProE steals the focus. Does any one else have this issue or isit just me? Where I get the Book Pro-E fundamentals?

Can someone provide me with an idea as to what the best practice might be for taking an AutoCAD 2005 file to ProE? It seems that there must be options as there are times when things import nicely and other times when files become unmanageable - all entities get put on a single layer and whenever we try to manipulate the layer the session locks up or kills.Thanks In Advance,Dan Aurit

Hey, I am trying to make a 3-d model of an wing. I have the airfoil coordinates in an excel file. Is there a way to import the coordinates into ProE?

Does anybody know if it is possible to get weight data into excel and haveit be updatable similar to how ole picture files are ? Brian L. ok gang, heres the ?say i have a assy XXXX and i insert a skeleton. i have 2 sub assys YYYY & ZZZZ (each one has serveral detail parts that feed into them).my ? is i had a co-worker tell me on the YYYY & ZZZZ insert the skeleton from XXXX. o.k. when i do this do i assemble YYYY & ZZZZ using the assy dtms from those subs are do i use the dtms from XXXX that i inserted with the skeletons.i'm trying to avoid global references. please help. Well, the answer is to divide the results that Mechanica gives you by thesqrt(386 in/sec^2). BTW, adding a gravity load to the model did not changethe results. I guess what I don't understand is why this is not documentedin the directions for simpletons like myself. Secondly, since I have todivide by the square root of gravity, it means that Mechanica is not givingfrequency results in cycles per second; which by the way is what PTC'sdocumentation says!

I am attempting my first modal analysis. I am checking a flat plate withholes around the edge for bolts. I have constrained the holes. The plate is1/8" thick aluminum. I used the PTC material library for the 6061-T6aluminum. The analysis says that my first mode is 389 Hz. I don't believeit. I had a coworker check it with Patran/Nastran and he gets 13 Hz. That Ibelieve. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Any help?
