Thanks again to everyone who responded. You guys are the best.Example:THIS IS A NOTE WITHTWO LINES.Picking anywhere on this note will put a red box around the entire note. Picking again on the note will highlight one of the sections in red. Once a single section is highlighted, you can go to Format>Text Style and change that section only. Doing this would allow the top line to have a different height, slant, underline, etc. than the bottom line. The next question is how do you do this on a single line?Example:THIS NOTE HAS THREE SECTIONS.You normally enter a note exactly as it looks on the screen. In this case, however, you break up the note and enter as such.{1:THIS NOTE} {2:HAS} {3:THREE SECTIONS.}Entering the text like that will allow you to pick the individual sections by themselves, much like the multiple-line first example. You cannot use this functionality if you try to do the Right Click>Properties button. Indeed, if you highlight a single section and then do a Right Click,

As we impatiently wait for our CAD admin to get this newrendering extension from PTC, I thought I would ask around tofind out if anyone is using it yet. It is the one that is supposed to be based on a renderer called Photolux.Anyone? If not, what does everyone else use for renderings? Thanks in advance,JD

Hi everyone,I know this would never be supported by PTC but I have a need to edit the UGC head of the ProE file. The problem I have is the CRC fails after that and ProE thinks the file is corrupt.Anyone know of a way around this or how to recreate the correct CRC?ThanksKevin
Try the McMaster-Carr catalog at http://www.mcmaster.com/. Many of theirfasteners are downloadable as a 3D file. Granted, they are parameterless, but if you are not going to use family tables, then you can get accuratemodels from them.Regards,Andy Dvorak
Does anyone have, or know where I can find examples of "IF THEN ELSE" stuff? I need to do some things like...IFTOOTH==SPACE (SPACE is a string value)AA=360/34/2ELSEAA=0ENDIFDan SchurrCAD FacilitatorEATON Corporation13100 E. Michigan Ave.Galesburg, MI 49053tel: 269-342-3236fax: 269-746-6236-
I guess I overlooked using copy/paste. That gets me all the tables and draft entities that I can move around (still have to recreate the params). Not sure why they suggested that other technique.
Good Morning,Wildfire 2.0 - I'm customizing my standard hole files. The problem is this...I want to add the &Pattern_No parameter with an Xafter it. I want it to be displayed as follows:2XIn order to get the parameter into the note callout, I MUST enter 1 spaceafter the parameter. When that occurs, I get the following note display:2 XI DON'T WANT THE SPACE.Does anyone know how to get rid of it?ThanksJoel
Hi everyone,I need to make a program that will go something like this:IF OD >= 2 AND OD < 3D6=.5ENDIFIF OD >=3 AND OD < 4D6=.75ENDIFetc.Can pro/program do this? Or do I need to have a whole bunch of nested IFstatements? Thanks, I'll post a summary.Don Gibson
Hi,Has anyone used the right angle head functionality yet in a real worldenvironment? How's it working, etc.?I am doing some testing and have come across something I am currentlydiscussing with the hotline and wanted to get all your opinions. From talking with our programmers who currently use right angle heads, there are 2 values that must be taken into account, the value from theguage line to the tool center and the center of spindle to the tip of thetool. When you create a right angle head model to use as an attachment you needto create 2 csys: spindle_control_point, tool_attach_point. Thespindle_control_point is located at the guage line. The tool_attach_pointis along the tool center. The tool is then attached to thetool_attach_point csys. When using the attachment option, it outputs aline in the ncl file:SET / HOLDER, 1, SETOOL, 0.0000000000, 6.4610000000, -12.7500000000, $The 2 values in this line are generated from the x and z dist from thespindle_control_point.What I have found ou

Is there a command (symbol) to get text in a note to underline? Ron
Hello again everyone,How do I set the default background color in WF-s to be the same as 2001.I know how to do it in each session, but how do you set it permanently?
In wildfire 2 when you measure a distance it now only gives you the actual distance, where as before it used to report the x,y,z values as wellis there a way to get this to show again in wf2?cheersColin
This may be a tough to explain, but here goes:When trying to create a closed corner, as explained in the PTC link below, Ihave had no problems in the past.http://www.ptc.com/cs/cs_23/howto/smd_ccwl/smd_ccwl.htmHowever, now I have a scenario in which to create the closed corner asdescribed, I must align my flat wall sketch to the inside of an existing"swept" wall. For some reason it will not create the closed corner with theswept wall. What is it about a swept wall that prevents this.best regards,ProE 2001Michael Hubbard
