I would like to know of any Major bugs people have found with Creo 1.0 M020. I would also like to specifically know if there are any issues with Layouts or Skeleton Parts.Thinking of deploying it next week.Thanks

Hi, Creo folks.Recently, the Creo Elements/Direct pages and Creo Elements/Pro pages on Wikipediahave been marked with a ‘proposed deletion tag’. The reason(s) cited were that there is “no evidence of notability” and that the entry reads like an advertisement. Since PTC cannot provide additional commentary or links (to maintain a neutral point of view and avoid conflict of interest), others would need to do so to remove the tag. RMB "Query select" has nearly become a standard method to dig through adatabase- even the largest.... When using other CAD systems, I findmyself trying it even though it's not applicable.... Let's throw some fuel on the fire! When I walk up to a display where theuser has pre-highlighting on, my first impression is "We gotta' rookiehere..." Has anyone come across mapkeys not working in Creo 1.0 due to the change in format from drop down menus to "tabs"? I'm thinking it has to do with the main_dlg_cur command being void due to the change over?? Can some one confirm this and let me know an alternate command to use....if so?Thanks

I have downloaded several screws/washers etc from the pro/library and when I save the file they appear as a single item yet when I open these in Creo I am prompted to select which type/size I require. My question is how are these parts created and is it possible to edit/create my own versions? How would I go about this?

HiI want to convert a whole assembly into a single part with an export and import of a STEP file. While importing the STEP file it's possible to define "import as a part"... Unfortunately the parts are imported all to the standard coordsys and not to the originally exported coordsys.Is there an config option for that?regardsVito

Anybody have any good custom metal textures they'd be willing to share? I'm using WF 4.0. I was using WF 5.0 at my last company and if I remember right they had a handful of metal textures such as brass, gold, brushed aluminum....etc. I was wondering if anybody has a custom palette they'd be willing to share?

We are running Windchill/PDMLink 9.0m050 on Windows 32bit servers. Management has asked for a hardware plan to support an upgrade to Windchill/PDMLink 10.0m020 early next year. We are on Wildfire 4 m150, but moving to a newer build of WF4 is easy to get done. We would then look at upgrading to Creo after the WC10 upgrade.My concern is new hardware across the board that is not compatible with what we run today. With new hardware needed and WC10 needing a 64bit OS, it becomes an upgrade/rehost to get back up. I know PTC says to do one or the other first, then the second, but the hardware/OS change says I can't get there from here without doing 2 or even 3 upgrades.Has anyone done a upgrade/rehost from 9m050 to 10 with also going from 32bit to 64bit servers?Thank you,Ben H. We have an issue where certain truetype fonts will publish and others will not. These are .ttf type files. An example would be Arial.ttf will publish and Arial Black.ttf will not. Any ideas?

I'm designing a pivoting clamp arm in proE using links and pivots,has anyone seen a way to calculate output force through a series of mechanical links and pivots, knowing the links sizes and angles plus the input cylinder force? I'm trying to achieve the best mechanical advantage, rather than disadvantage at the end of the stroke.

All too often, Pro/E WF5 won't let me quickly select what I want. I can choose "geometry" and sometimes "surfaces" and "curves" but not "faces" or "edges", which I needs just as often. I'm forced to either cycle through all kinds of geometry or use the old "pick from list". I just want the very basic ability to filter sensible things, more specific than "geometry". Can anyone tell me if this is possible and how to do it if so?Thanks

I use rules in Outlook 2010 (and did in Outlook 2003 as well) and when amessage is moved to a folder with a rule, I don't get a notification atall. I have notifications on, and only get them for things that end upactually in my inbox. I have rules that filter probably over 75% of mymail to other folders so it really keeps the notifications down.
