Creating external applications using cB SQL database directly

Hello,

I'd like to ask if it's possible to create external applications for aggregating data from Codebeamer by directly loading data from the Codebeamer database instance (MySQL)?

I'm asking about this from both a technical and licensing perspective (does PTC allow such an action) before we begin any work.
