How to develop custom scripts for Codebeamer?

Hi,

As system and project administrator in Codebeamer I need to develop scripts to fulfil the requirements of my users, when the out-of-box functionality of Codebeamer is not sufficient.

F.e. I want to prevent having multiple downstream references from items within the same tracker.

Coming from RVS Trigger Scripts debugging was a pain, but there were extensive JavaDocs available.

With Codebeamer all I could find was some examples (https://support.ptc.com/help/codebeamer/r2.1/en/index.html#page/codebeamer/developers_guide/649989.html#), but no documentation which objects or classes are available and how to use them.

How do you actually develop custom scripts?

Am I supposed to just guess which Beans are available?

Hi @MS_9990422

Thank you for your question.

Your post appears well documented but has not yet received any response. I am replying to raise awareness. Hopefully, another community member will be able to help.

Also, feel free to add any additional information you think might be relevant. It sometimes helps to have screenshots to better understand what you are trying to do.

Hello,

I see that this thread hasn't received a reply.

We're also interested in this documentation and cannot find any in the PTC articles/helper or reference documents.

Is there any technical documentation for Codebeamer that explicitly lists the methods to use, similar to the RV&S Javadoc ?

The goal is to find out which beans are available and which methods to use. RV&S has comprehensive technical documentation on triggers, but I don't see it on Codebeamer.
Best regards,

Alex
