How to restore 1000's of items

A user deleted 3,700 items from a tracker. What is the safest way to restore all items and preserve the hierarchical structure of the tracker? I can only see at most 500 items at a time in the Trash so I don’t know if I just select the first 500, restore them, then repeat until complete. Will that process recreate the tracker as it was originally structured?

So you can restore items incrementally and the parent-child structure will be restored correctly. With 1000’s of items you just have to be patient and do 500 at a time.

Correct, I also recommend doing a root cause analysis to understand how that happened to prevent it from happening in the future.
