I'm trying to get the piping weld numbers that can be created in the piping module, and that can be seen as annotations in Creo to also be exported to the pvz file format. That way I can see them in Creo Viewer. I've ensured that the annotations can be seen in the Viewer and have also added normal annotation Notes so as to verify that annotations are exported. They are and can be seen, but not those related to the weld. Any ideas on why and suggested way of fixing this? Thanks,Erik

Hello, I'm trying to generate a 3D curve from a table or matrix of (X, Y) values along with a vector Z, which contains one value for each (X, Y) pair with Mathcad 11.0.I tried using createmesh, but without success. Do you have any suggestions on how to achieve this? Thank you for your help. Update : Added Excel file to import the matrix.Update : Link to the mathcad file Emilien

Hi,I am checking the feasibility of configuring the below use-cases in Windchill Options module, I am running into road blocks as I am not very familiar with the configurations. Asking for assistance with the same. Thanks. Use Case 1: There is a multi-select option with choices, let's say C1 (1), C2 (2) and C3 (3). Based on the selection of choices, I want a parameter to be updated with the sum of values from the choices. For example, if C1 and C2 are selected, the parameter should have 3 as value. If nothing is selected, it should have 0 as value.  Use Case 2: There are two options, let's say Opt 1 and Opt 2. I want a parameter to be updated with the least value among Opt 1 and Opt 2. I tried using Constraint to define expression for Parameters, but I could not see through it. We have security labels setup just for the download ack message, so we have not enabled agreements (not needed - We control access by other means).  I know specific PTC license is required Base + IP Protection, or the advance (which includes IP Protection), but the PTC steps (Edit) implies restricting who can edit them without explanation.   I am looking to set them so only SL_EDITORS can modified the Security Labels after creation.  Any help would be welcomed.   Thank you in advance.

I've been asked to see if Windchill was used to support this anyplace else. Machine shop want so import in an manage MasterCAM files, revision controlled. I know that we can do this easily with a WTDocument and possibly a Soft-type. There should be some relationship between the MasterCAM file and the Part or CAD file is it generated from. I do not believe that adding as attachment to the EPMDocument will work. For one, these will be generated on a different timeline than the released CAD models. I can see as an alternate type of EPMDocument however the interfacing to these would be a PITA. What have others done here?

Use case: This case is strictly related to CAD management in Windchill, involving interchange assemblies composed of template models and reusable parts. To maintain compatibility with Windchill, template models are copied and renamed to ensure unique filenames specific to each design, while standard models must remain unchanged, retaining their original names. There are houndreds of projects being launched that generates project specific interchange assemblies.  Renaming models that are part of interchange assemblies requires one of the following approaches:1. Retain the existing interchange assembly, extending it with project-specific models to maintain interchangeability.2. Create a new interchange assembly with a different name, while keeping a reference to the “reusable” one. However, this option would unfortunately require changes to the “reusable” models, which is highly unlikely as they need know to which interchange assembly.

I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.5.0We have an assembly where certain sub-components might be shown or hidden (suppressed) by ProProgram, based on parameters, for different design cases. Based on that assembly we have created a simplified representation which shows only a subset of the resumed components from the original design (driven by rules). From that simplified representation we need to merge all the visible geometry into one single part and for doing that we have created a shrinkwrap and enable the option to automatically update its geometry based on the original design. While the simplified representation works properly for different design cases, the shrinkwrap does not update its geometry automatically upon regeneration. The only case when it does is when the design takes the "state" in which the shrinkwrap was created, but other cases don't. At the moment I have a small problem when getting the data from MQTT.I understood that Kepware can get the message from MQTT based on the JSON format, but when that format is not in the JSON, what should I do? For example, If my MQTT has a topic is "homeassistant/binary_sensor/IPC1" and the message of the topic is a string like 99-99-99-99 (not in the JSON format), how can I get the string 99-99-99-99 in Kepware? Hi, I used to use Perl in APP-over-rides to output debugging information to a file like this:   formatting.evaluateShowString("\"junk\"$^[perl open(TMP, '>>c:/temp/debug.log'); print TMP 'specific-use: " + currentNode.getAttribute("specific-use") + "\n'; close(TMP);]"); This appears to no longer be working. We often deal with mathcad calculations that are 100 pages or more.  These can be unwieldly to navigate and check especially for those that did not develop the mathcad calculations.  One thing that could greatly improve the formating of mathcad would be to have the ability to have something like the tabs in an excel sheet.  Another way to do this would be to have the ability to have chapters or sections that could be tabbed through.  If it was done with chapters or sections, there could be a table of contents page with links to each section.  I know that mathcad had the ability to hide calculation regions but this is not nearly as user friendly.  This is a wish list item that I think would really improve the user interface for many users.

PTC Launches New Windchill AI Parts Rationalization Capabilities I remember seeing this at last year's conference. Very impressed at how quickly this was put together. I am even more impressed that its available with release. Not impressed at how little information has been published about it beyond a short demo video. If anyone has more information, please share in replies. I do have the slides from the last conference which go into great detail. A document explaining security and data protection would be very helpful since it would be a no go at my company if that was not addressed.    Just looking at what I know about this tool, I had two concerns which might lessen the ROI. Perhaps this would be an issue not in my company but a different manufacturer would see a greater need. Hi! I tried to find older discussion related to rainflow counting algorithm and found some but unfortunately they lead me to new problem. I used some program created by Ian Ward and was able to create workbook for my needs. But for some reason it doesn't always work like it should. Problems occur with some initial data and are related to the array index, I believe. Please find two identical calculation sheets attached with different initial data in embedded excel file. The file "Rainflow Cycle Counting A" works fine but the "Rainflow Cycle Counting B" does not. Can someone advice what is the problem, please? And another question, at the end of the calculations I have another embedded excel file to combine the rows in matrix that has identical values in the first column. For example, if I have values 3, 3, 3 in the first column and corresponding values of 2, 4, 6 in the second column, I would like to have them added so that I have row: [3, 12].
