All, I have seen posts where family table instances cannot be deleted from Windchill when I delete entire table of the generic. Those deleted instances are still tied to the generic and cannot be deleted. I think I read something about purging the itterations below the latest version. Not sure how to do that. Anyone know how to get rid of these dead instances? I am thinking, maybe if I had the instances in session, then deleted the table, the saved each instance, that may have been the way to go? Wayne

Hello PTC community,  I'm using Creo Parametric 9.0.4.0 and would like to perform simulations. Apparently, the Simulate is grayed out but Flow Analysis is not. Is this licensing issue or something else? Thanks,SR

Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: In our customization, we use the SaveAsHelper class to duplicate some WTPart (and structure) and would like to "tag" the function used by setting a comment on the new WTPart, for example: "created by Copy Machine". I want to use Python scripting in MathCAD Prime 11, but upon selecting python in the dropdown menu in the advanced controls editor, MathCAD hard crashes. I don't even get a chance to press "apply" or close the dialogue box. Everything closes. There is no stalling or freezing. It just crashes instantly. No error message is produced. What is going on? How do I fix this? My understanding is that, if Python shows up as an option, MathCAD has registered to appropriate location for the python executable. I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.2.14At one time, when using Chrome based browsers, it was possible for the user to resize the text boxes (text areas) in Windchill forms, such as Change Requests. There was a small icon in the lower right corner that could be grabbed to resize the visible text area. This does not seem to be possible anymore. Is this a bug in Windchill? A bug in Chrome? Or intentional design in the Windchill code/CSS? Is there a way to change the code/CSS to enable resizing? (We do know that it can be changed temporarily by using F12 DevTools and changing the box dimensions temporarily.

I've saved the file on Mathcad Prime yesterday and today it's unable to be open. Unfortunately no restore file has been saved. Are you able to help with restoring the file?

Hi everyone,  Almost every design and manufacturing company uses some parts that are created by cutting some stock material (pipe, hose, aluminium extrusion, etc.) to a defined length without any other machining or other processing. Of course there is no need or sense in creating drawings for these kind of parts because the drawing would only tell what material to use and what length to cut it to. At the moment our method for handling these is by first modeling the part in Creo with any way the engineer is used to and then creating a WTPart automatically during check-in. Next the engineer goes to Windchill and adds a stock material WTPart to the structure of the new WTPart and sets the quantity of the BOM row to match with the length of the model.  Here is an example of the resulting WTPart structure: This is not a great method because if the length of the part is changed, it needs to be updated in multiple places: Model, part name and BOM row quantit

Hello everyone, Since I updated Windchill 12.1 to CPS19, I've encountered this issue with Navigate. Is it possible that it's due to the CPS? If not, what could be the cause? I am trying to find a good way to set a collision or avoidance region away from my fixture. Is this even possible within creo, or is everything just set automatically? I know you can't add the fixture as a check surface in any of the operations because it isn't the reference model. So where exactly can you configure your fixtures avoidance regions?

Hi everyone, I have created a part with two bodies and assigned a material to each of them. Now I want to control the material or its density for one body using a parameter in the relationship.Is this even possible? And if so, how? Or can I only control the overall density? I use Creo 8.0

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 13.0 and Datecode with CPS 13.0.1.5Configuration and Maintenance. After installing Windchill PDM Link, Workflows, Lifecycles and Changes do not properly run as we start Promotion Approval requests and other functionalities. Refer to our previous case: PTC Case: C17965633Promotion Request starts but then goes into a loop where it duplicates the request over and over. We have stopped and started the WfPRopagationQueue and the WfUserWOrkQueue and is not working.

We recently started to use Creo in my engineering course. As I went to download the software I got a little bit confused why there is no MacOs version of Creo available. I am aware that there are some workarounds for that e.g. using Parallels etc. but I read this might not be the way to go because Creo does not work that well on a Windows emulator and Parallels is also not free (and I am broke). Also, I read about installing a Windows partition with bootcamp, but this only works with an Intel chip and the newer Macs (mine included) have the M1/M2 chip installed. So this isn't an option either (for all of you lucky ones that do have the Intel chip: bootcamp seems to be the best option here).  Does somebody know if there will be a Creo MacOs version in the near future? Creo seems to be the industry standard and I honestly don't understand why there is no MacOs version available yet seeing that many designers like to work on Mac machines and especially the newer ones s

In RTPPM 10.0 the OEE gets calculated at Work Unit Level but when I check the OEE at the Work Center level in KPI Dashboard or reports it shows 0. Any suggestion if I have missed any configurations?

Hi, I want to manage the members of a codebeamer project preferably using REST API.  Swagger doc shows a  GET /v3/projects/{projectId}/members endpoint for retrieval, but doesnt show any PUT or PATCH or DELETE methods.  Is this operation to add or remove members to a project not available via REST API?
