Question

And another thing about Insert here...

Don't you think it would be easier if there was a pick in the RMB menu
when your mouse is in the model tree? 5 picks to do something that is
fairly common practice when you are examining someone else's model seems a
no-brainer to move it to the RMB menu.

Thanks again,

Well, sure - but that would be inconsistent with the Wildfire philosophy...

I've never said I lost functionality; however, most things that have changed
take an average of about a third more mouse picks and lots of moving the
cursor around the screen than they did before WF. At the end of a day of
intense modeling, and especially detailing, I have hand cramps. Oh, and
there actually is at least one bit of lost functionality - the detail module
is no longer WYSIWYG - the axes on the screen no longer match what prints
out. This is a HUGE step backwards, IMNSHO.

Another way to apply the insert function while in the model tree:

Carol you hit it on the head !!! I couldn't have said it better myself. The
"reduced screen picking in wildfire, has been compared to all know cad systems
and a 30% reduction is realized by making the switch to wildfire " This is a
direct quote for Dan Campbell at PTC the statement was made at the Atlanta Pro-E
conference 2 years ago. Dan if you are listening, sorry friend you are just
plain wrong. Example #1 why does it take 3 to 4 cancel operations to get out of
the wildfire sketcher as compared to 2 in 2001. This is a huge pain in the
butt !!! I have numerous examples but in general I have seen the mouse picks
go up at least by 1 pick... Not the reduction that Mr. Campbell of PTC
    marketing promised !!!

I always expect someone to respond "why do you need to cancel out of a
    sketch ?". 🙂

Nonetheless, it happens to me a lot and I searched and found this mapkey:

But even if a 30% reduction is fact it STILL gives you 50% more mouse clicks
than almost any other CAD system! 😉

I believe this is what you should all be referring to in your attempt to
discredit Pro|E Wildfire as an improvement over previous versions.
