Question

autocad file into sketcher

I am trying to use an Autocad file in sketcher.

The Acad file has mothing in it except lines.

When I am in sketcher I SKETCH/DATA FROM FILE/FILE SYSTEM then navigate to the folder where the acad file is located.

I keep getting a "INVALID DWG FILE" error from sketcher.

What am I doing wrong?

    Resolution to my problem:
I tried exporting the Autocad as 2007, 2004, 2000, &R14dwg with no success.
ProE sketcher doesn't give me the option for dxf. Only drw, igsiges, dwg & ai.
My solution was to import the Autocad drawing into a ProE drawing then import the ProE drawing into sketcher.
A round about way of doing things but it worked.
    Thanks to everyone who responded!
