Is it possible to calculate the bending moments and other properties of a cut from a solid model of a mechanica calculation?

    Helena,

I'm not sure what you mean by "bending moments of a cut".

Can you explain your requirements in a little more detail, maybe with some pictures?

What I mean is: Is it possible to integrate the stresses of a cut (any cut) of a structure, so that you achieve the resultant forces and moments of the cut?

I don't think this is possible to do exactly as you describe.

However, it might be possible to use Info -> Review Total Load, perhaps with a coordinate system created at the point of interest.

It may also be possible by creating your cut and applying only the loads on one side, and creating a Simulation Measure on the cut surface - but I'm not sure whether a measure type exists that will give you bending and shear forces.
