Blank Default Text in Variable Text Symbol

Hi. I have a custom FN symbol that has a left and right "quantity" (i.e., allow users to enter 2X, 3X, etc...). Is it possible to make the default variable text empty or blank? It's going to get annoying for the users to constantly delete that text and I'm just trying to save them the headache.

    Just to close the loop on this and answer my own post, there is no way to do this. The work-around is to use grouping for the symbol and add variable text for a left symbol and a right symbol, or any combination you desire. Not the greates option, but it works.
