    WF 5.0 requires VS 2008 , for VS 2005 WF 4.0 works.

Milind is somewhat correct. The PTC Pro/TOOLKIT documentation clearly states what versions of Visual Studio are compatible with specific releases of Pro/ENGINEER. However, Visual Studio is an IDE NOT a compiler/linker. What PTC is really stating in their documentation is that they support the compiler, linker, libraries and headers that shipped with VS 2005. Therefore if you like the VS 2005 environment or cannot purchase the new software for some other reason you can still use it for WF 5.0 for example. You just need to download the appropriate Windows SDK that contains the compiler, linker, libraries and headers that shipped with VS 2008. Then you can "point" VS 2005 at the Windows SDK installation and the VS 2005 IDE will use those compliers, linkers, libraries and headers and your program will compile and link properly.

I have done this with the Express versions of VS.
