Can we measure spring wire length of a conical helical spring

Hi Friends

I have one query that can we measure a spring wire length in pro-e. If we want to make a spring and we want to know what length of bar we required making a spring in industry then how we calculate this?

Please help on this????

    If you are using a trajectory first to create the solid, you can measure the total curve length.

    If the spring has a constant cross section, couldn't you simply measure the volume then divide by the cross section area to get the length?
