coil spring with finished ends

Does anybody have a model of a coil spring with ends properly blended such as what is used in a clip board? I need my ends to have extensions on them but I just cannot figure out a good way to do this in my model. I can fake it but I'd really rather not do this. IF anybody has a model I can look at for reference I'd sure appreciate it.
