Creating References from IGES files

Hello,

I'm importing data using IGES files. I would like to use this data as a reference but can't seem to "select all" the data at one time. I have to manually click each vertex/line in order to provide a reference.

Is there any easier way to select all entities in one shot to expedite this process? Thanks

It might help to give us a little more context - what kind of data are you importing (2D, 3D? Simple, complex?) and how are you referencing it (creating planes, using 'project edge' in a sketch?)
