Hi All

I've just been surfing the PTC website looking for the Personal Edition of Creo (ProE) but all I can findis the Student Edition.

Do PTC still do the Personal Edition, or is it too soon into the new release?

Thanks

Thanks to all who replied. It looks like you cannot get the 'Student edition - for personal use' anymore.

The only alternative for those who aren't in full time education is to use the 30 day Trial version.

    Sarah,

I think another option maybe to purchase a subscribe to a PTC
University. This will allow you to download the educational version and
give you access to all training classes offered by PTC.

It might be a little over $1,000 but cheaper than buying a seat of Creo.

    Hi Robert

The only PTC University I can find does not mention being able to download the academic version.
The Creo 2.0 Academic Edition & eLearning Library Bundle says current academic ID required for purchase.

I was on the shop from the PTC homepage, am I looking in the right place?

This is what I see when I access one of the training classes.

Creo 1.0 is currently only available. I have seen PTC-U lag behind a
little in getting the latest available.

I also don't like that it says "Limited functionality"

    Thanks Robert

We don't have any PTC courses here so I haven't seen that before.
I'll see if my reseller knows what the 'limited functionality' might be.

Most of the CAD Student Edition versions I have seen don't include the CAM modules. They also print a watermark across the face of the plot on anything plotted stating it as having been created on a student edition.

Student edition is just that, for use by a student in learning the software, no commercial use of the designs.
