Need help/info on where to post or start. Need to find out if Creo has a module that will create Laser Projections for composite ply layouts. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Leo

    Hello Leo,

there is no specific module to drive a Laser Projector, unless it can make use of DMIS commands used for probe scanners (then it would be the module Pro/CMM to use).

If you have software to output scan data in a point format (e.g. *.pts, *.ibl, etc...), then this point cloud can be read into Creo Parametric and the Restyle functionality will allow to handle them and create surfaces based on them - these surfaces could for example generate the outline for the plies.

The flatten Surface functionality may be used to get a flat shape from the surfaces / 3D plies.

    Regards,
