OK, I'm using this thing a lot today.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get the area of a Cross Section from
Pro/E?

Thanks,

    Hi All,
I'm sure I'm missing something simple, but it has been a few years since I
have done this and am suffering from "old-timers".

I've created a cross-section of a solid. How do I measure the area of
    that section?

    TIA!
    Bernie

OK, so I can pick the section, right click and select "create a curve".
Then create a "fill" feature using that curve, then measure that new
surface... Do I really need to go to that much work? I thought there
used to be a simple "Measure Area" tool that would let you pick cross
    sections...

Btw measuring the area of a closed loop in a sketch is on our wishlist. We had to follow the process you mentioned (complete the sketch, create a fill surface, and then measure the area of the fill surface, just to get the area of the closed loop in the sketch. (We hadn't generated a solid yet, so the Cross Section Mass Properties wasn't available to us.)
