Question

Deleting a cross section whose name doesn't show in the view manager in Wildfire 3.0

Guru's,

One of our users has created a fairly simple model in which he's managed
to create a cross section that does not show up in the listing under
view manager's cross section tab. Of course, now he needs to use that
name for another cross section, and cannot because it's already being
used. In 2001; there was an option to type in the name of a cross
member as opposed to selecting it from the list. This was the "trick",
if you will, to getting rid of those cross sections who, for whatever
reason, Pro/E did not show in the list. I do not see this option in
Wildfire; nor does the menu mapper or searching thru the online help
seem to be of any help. Anyone have a solution for this?

Thanks in advance, I will post a summary as is customary...

The only place you can find cross sections is in the feature list. And then
you still won't know which one is which. Look for a cosmetic feature that
has no feature number. These are cross sections. Of course this isn't a
whole lot of help because now that you know the 'feature' id you still can't
do anything with it. I can't find any way using the search tool to select
    cross sections.

The only hope you have is that maybe in the feature list you will see that
the cross section is suppressed, then you can attempt to resume it.
