could some one please expalin the difference between the two different shrinkage formula's in Pro/Engineer.

(1+S) and 1/(1-S)?

    • 1+S — Uses a precalculated shrinkage factor that is based on the original geometry of the reference model.
    • 1/(1–S) — Enables you to specify a shrinkage factor that is based upon the final geometry of the reference model once shrinkage is applied.

    hey sumeet..how are you?....

    i am not that wise dude.....i read that...did not understand...the second one and then read the first one again...and now i am confused..it would help if you could elaborate with a example.

    S is in percentage when you scale the whole model so 1+s s=10% s,viz 0.1 1+0.1=>1.1 x model size

    1+s will enlarge the model size apply shrinkage already and 1/1-s will reduce the model size ( assuming s is positive in both cases)
