Hello,

Is there now in Creo 2, a simple way to calculate the internal volume of a shape, without going through the Shopsystems brush marks as described in the knowledge base.

Cordially.

I use a merge process to figure this out. I don't know of a direct method.

    Antonius,

    could you possibly elaborate?

John, I assemble a block (part) and the object I need the volume from. I then use the Merge feature (from one of several locations) to remove the part from the block. Then, in the block part file, trim away any exterior volume and I have the remaining volume.

Since WF5 you can also measure the volume of closed quilts.
Perhaps a surface copy would do the job?

I did not know this. What is the process in Creo exactly?

You can also use analysis features, if you have the capability, to get the volumes.
