Edit text OS info

I amn trying to force the command "edit text OS" to fire up notepad rather
than VI, as an editor. No luck so far, any help?

    I know there is a way to redirect it to use the 'textedit' editor in unix
    but I don't think notepad can interoperate with CADDS. If that's useful to
    you I can try to figure out how we did it. I haven't seen it used here for
    a few years but the know-how probably still exists.

    I got my answer, thanks Joe H. It works fine now.

    I misspoke, using the term "notepad" rather than "dtpad"

    OK, back to work now. I am bouncing between PRO and CV these days, the
    best of both worlds.

    Sorry for not posting the answer to my problem.... here it is:

    I assume you are using a UNIX variety. If you type "env|grep EDITOR" the
    results will probably show "EDITOR=vi". If you are in a C shell, enter
    the
    command "setenv EDITOR dtpad" and then enter "cadds5" in the same window.
    To make the change permanent, add the setenv statement to your .cshrc
    file. There are other EDITOR possibilities depending on your flavor of
    unix. "notepad" is a Windows editor.
