Help with .STP Files

Good Morning,

Can anyone advise me if there is a way to create a section view within a .stp file import.

    Once a STP file is imported, it becomes a part or assembly file. Anything you can do to a part or assembly, you can do to it.

    That said, if the import only produces surface geometry and no solids, then you will not be able to section it just like you cannot section a part or assembly file that contains only surface features.
