Anyone know where to get HVAC 3D CAD models?

    What are you looking for exactly? Duct work, HVAC units....?

    I'm not, but what I've done in the past is this.


    If 3D models were not present on their website, I would check other manufacturers of similar products to see if I could find it on theirs. If that fails, contact Elgin via their customer support or your account rep and ask to get 3D models that you need. Most companies do 3D now and are happy to supply them upon request. I've done this with several vendors and have successfully received 3D models from them.

    I used piping to do preliminary layouts for ducting in a couple labs. Nice because it lets you easily adjust where the elbows and Tees are.



    After I got the general layout I had to build my own elbows, Tees, and earthquake restraints.
