importing 3d studio max files, conversion programs

I have downloaded the 3DWin5 software and had no success. Does anybody know of any good software for this process, or tricks to using 3DWin5 Thanks, Hanson Jones

    I am also interested in knowing if there is a way to important 3D Studio (.MAX) files directly into Pro/E. I saw that it might me done with Polytrans from Okino, but you need to install a plugin in 3ds. I don't own 3DS and I want to import the files in Pro/E. Thanks
