Interaction with Pro/ENGINEER embedded browser

Has anyone had any success in automating/scripting Pro/ENGINEER such
that the program interacts with the embedded browser? Both logging in
and using the embedded browser do not get captured by the trail file.
This is being cross-posted as it involves both Pro/ENGINEER and
Windchill. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

    John,

    Look into Pro/Web.Link (javascript) or Pro/J-Link (java) for programming
    applications that interact with Pro/Engineer via the embedded browser.
    You can find the help files for these in the Pro/E loadpoint/weblink or
    loadpoint/jlink respectively. To get these interfaces (and the
    mentioned folders) you do have to check the appropriate options in the
    installer but there is no extra license required.
