We don't like to give write access to an chinese employee to our commercial Windchill database but he should be able to add a parameter with a chinese description for all commercial numbers. Is there a way to update a Creo parameter by code ?

Regards,

Bernard

Hello Bernard, the simple answer is: Yes, you can programmatically change a model parameter in Creo using an auxiliary application (e.g. Pro/TOOLKIT). However, I assume the issue is not as simple, because your colleague could just as well change the model parameter via the UI in Creo. To see a change in Windchill PDMLink, this will require checkin of the modified model for both cases. If you want to change the value of a Windchill attribute (which may be associated with a Creo model), without checkin of a new version of the model, then this will require a customization on the Windchill side (and then this is the wrong forum).
