Large Scale Deformation (Wrapping around pin)?
I have an analysis which will require a wire to be wrapped around a rod. I'm interested in see the stress concentration through the thickness of the wire after it has been wrapped nearly 360 degrees around the pin. Is this possible with large scale deformation? I have tried various constrain and load setups and have not been successful in getting it to wrap around the rod more than 10 or 15 degrees. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
