Hi Anyone have a recommendation for a LCD Display to run ProE? I have been using a 21" Viewsonic p815 CRT for many many years and can run 85hz 1600x1200. But I am curious if my desk space can be freed up with a LCD display of similar quality, but I havent been able to glean any info from the web regarding such. Anyone using one? Niall

You will not be disappointed with an LCD. I recommend getting two; 21" or 20" if you can afford it or a 21"/20" and a companion 17". Regards

Yes, I'm using a LCD and bought a high end Pro Series (all the Pro Series LCD model numbers start with "VP") http://www.viewsonic.com/products/desktopdisplays/lcddisplays/ Of all the decisions I made in buying our home computer, I'm happiest about spending extra money to get a great LCD monitor. Think about it: what impacts your everyday enjoyment of your computer more than the screen? Spend money on a good screen. I was an LCD display engineer at Motorola for a few years, so I know LCD's. Before I bought this LCD I looked at about a dozen different brands comparing color, contrast, brightness...etc. I've been EXTREMELY impressed with this VP191s monitor that I bought. Also, with the VP series monitors, you can run High-Def TV on many of them. Also, CRT's ruin your eyes. I used to work 12 hour days as an engineer on a big CRT. I had such serious eye problems, I had to go see several eye doctor specialists. Switching to an LCD solved all those issues. Regards, Stephan San Diego

We've been running about 100 Samsung Syncmaster 214t for the past year and havent had any complaints on them. The have a slightly wider screen and seem good to me, but I'm not an expert.
