Question

Mass Properties - Decimal Places

Thank you all for the prompt and informative replies. My colleague, who
asked me the original question, was astonished by the speed with which I
was able to tell him the answer (He's not used to me knowing very much,
really).

The answer is:

Use this &mass[.4]
[.0] = whole number [.1]= 1 decimal [.2] = 2 decimal etc

Thanks again

Also, remember that there is no longer a requirement to use an
intermediate parameter for showing mass property information on drawings

    relation: mass=pro_mp_mass
    and note: &mass[.4]

is the same as note: &pro_mp_mass[.4]

    Thanks, Brian
Yes, it is true that Pro/E doesn't need the relation, but you can't use
internal parameters like Pro_mp_mass in Intralink - Ilink doesn't know
about them, so you have to create an explicit parameter and designate it.
That's assuming you want to use it Ilink, of course. We just decided to
make all our parameters Ilink compatible, just in case we should ever need
    to use them.

    John,

You can in fact declare pro_mp_mass, pro_mp_density, etc. in your proe models and then in Intralink define them as Versioned/Filebased Object Attributes. This is how we're set up so we can track mass in Ilink.
