Does anyone havea basic set of material files they can share (preferrably with appearances defined) - WF3 or later.

Big thanks in advance,

Paul

Check MCAD Central, I've downloaded this, but we don't do much FEA so I can't say as to the file's accuracy.

I believe there's a zipped materials file in the Miscellaneous section.

    Hope this helps,

This has come up twice in the past few months, once my me. I didn't
respond because you asked specifically for WF3 versions.

I received a large number of material files, based on the ones at MCAD
Central, but they are all the old old format I have had no luck in
converting them. WF3 will open them, but any edits result in an
unsavable material file where the blank fields are tagged as 'invalid'.
Blank fields should be acceptable, in fact they were fine until I
    changed something else.

    I gave up.

Here as some that should be in WF3 format... I'm currently using them in
WF4, but converted them back in WF2 or 3...

This would also be an excellent thing to post to the Files section of
    portal.ptcuser.org, if you're willing.

Good to know. I've only used them for mass calculations thus far when customers or our shipping dept. needed to know approximate assembly weights.
