FiberSIM is a dedicated engineering environment for composites that provides an end to end (conceptual design through in-service) solution. FiberSIM is a ProE intergrated environment, utilizing a master model approach for composite defintion, i.e. the composite definition is developed and stored in the .prt file.
FiberSIM's key points are:
Easy multiple ply defintion utilizing a common materials database
Materials and manufacturing process specific simulations to properly assess material drapabiltiy - incl. deformation, deviaiton, steering
Ability to interface with all leading composite CAE aplications
Offset surface functionality based on thickness regions and core, assisting design engineers with solid part defintions
3D documentation such automated as cross sections
Automated development of outputs required to support your manufacturing processes from hand lay-up to automated deposition
Does it create a native Pro/E (Creo) model that can be used in an assembly and that represents the plies, core, etc. in a single model that retains each element's mass properties?
