Does anyone have a good technique for projecting text on a cylinder? I've done the usual Edit>Project, but the results are not adequate because it still distorts the text proportions the further away from tangency the text curves. I need something that is accurate as I am going to use the text to laser mark some cylindrical parts.

    Try Wrap instead of Project. But it will only work on parts not
    assemblies.

    Toroidal bend will do what you want

    Thanks everyone - Wrap did a nice job. Now I'll see if the laser can handle it.
