And what about concrete? Very often seen on a cross section, but still
can't find a way to represent that MAT'L...
Anyone has something they would like to share with the community?

You need to let us know about this.
Something tells me that wood grain is something you can apply while
rendering. However I have never seen a cross section for wood...yet.
