Scale note?

How do I remove the scale note in a detail view?

I have:

"Detail A
Scale 0.18"

I want:

"Detail A"

    I change the text height to .001 (or smaller) for just the scale portion
    of the note.

    You don't, we have always put the note on a layer and blanked it, and then
    manually created another note with the correct view data.

    Yes, it is stupid, but I have found no other way to do it.
